Members of the Montenegrin Armed Forces seen off in Obrenovac



The units of the Montenegrin Armed Forces engaged in rendering assistance in Obrenovac with the aim of saving lives of citizens and the protection of property in flood-affected areas, were seen off from that Belgrade municipality, where they arrived on 17th May.

On behalf of the Serbian CHOD General Dikovic and the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces they were greeted by Major General Sladjan Djordjevic, Head of Human Resources Department, who thanked all the engaged members for the offered assistance. He also added that this difficult situation has improved cooperation between the two armies and the two countries.

Members of the Montenegrin Armed Forces underlined that they were satisfied with the professional cooperation with members of our armed forces during their stay in Obrenovac.

For the purpose of providing assistance to Serbia, Montenegro has sent 41 members of the formed seven teams – five rescue teams, one diving team and a team of medical support. Their tasks were evacuation of the population, delivery of food, medicaments and the work of the pair of divers.
