Signing of bilateral military cooperation plan with Bulgaria



Colonel Milan Konjikovac, Acting Head of the Department for International Military Cooperation, and Lieutenant Colonel Petar Petrov, Defence Attaché of the Republic of Bulgaria in Belgrade, signed today the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2014 between the ministries of defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Bulgaria.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of cooperation in the field of defence and the tendency of further improvement. The number of planned activities in 2014, in the conditions of the limited budget, represents continuation of cooperation in the main fields and establishing of cooperation in the field of military geography.

The recent talks between the two ministers of defence in Sofia showed a high level of understanding and commitment of the two defence ministries to further promotion of cooperation in the field of defence.

Main areas of cooperation are training and execution of joint exercises, as well as cooperation in the field of codification, budgeting and finance, military education, human resources, public relations, military police, military geography, and military medicine.
