Assistant Minister for Defense Policy received head of the NATO Military Liaison Office
Assistant Minister for Defense Policy Miroslav Jovanovic received theformer and newly appointed head of the NATO Military Liaison Office, Brigadier General Ornello Baron and Brigadier General Luccio Bata respectively in an inaugural - farewell visit , which was organized as part of the handover of duty.
Analyzing the cooperation of the Ministry of Defence and Military Liaison Office in Belgrade, NATO, it was agreed that it is at the appropriatelevel while all the opportunities for its further improvement were observed and considered. In this regard, a possible contribution in the next period emphasized intensive involvement of members of the NATO Military Liaison Office in the coordination and implementation of activities through the mechanisms provided for the Partnership for Peace program, and the implementation of practical activities within the IPP and the activities of the program to build integrity. During the discussion the importance of ensuring the safety of all citizens of Kosovo was also highlighted together with the importance of maintaining the current level of KFOR troops on the ground , as a factor of stability and security in Kosovo , in accordance with the UN Security
Council Resolution 1244.
