Bilateral Military Coperation Plan signed with the Kingdom of Netherlands



Acting Chief of the Directorate for International Military Cooperation Colonel Milan Konjikovac received a two-member delegation from the Netherlands , led by Defence Attaché Lt. Col. Robert Verbruh .

Colonel Konjikovac said that defense cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands was well developed with planned activities being implemented at a high percentage , which fully reflect the focal areas of cooperation. He emphasized the necessity of defining a legal framework for cooperation and harmonization of the signing of the Defense Cooperation between the two ministries , as well as the implementation of high-level meetings , in order to define the strategic guidelines for future cooperation .

Konjikovac expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the reform of the defense system of the Republic of Serbia , previous donations , the organization of courses of law in armed conflict and civil-military relations, and to further support the development of the project NCO .

Acting Chief of the Directorate for International Military Cooperation , expressed his satisfaction with expanding cooperation in the preparation of the Army of Serbia to participate in multinational operations , as well as opportunities to share experiences from the "The project of training young people for military training " activities and the Common Security and Defence Policy.

Lt. Col. Verbruh said the intention of the Netherlands was to work on an active promotion of cooperation in the defense of the Republic of Serbia , despite budget cuts . He thanked the Ministry of Defence for a- diversion device which military museum Serbia lent to the Railway Museum in Utrecht , to commemorate 300 years of the Peace of Utrecht
At the meeting it was the bilateral military cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands for 2014 was agreed upon and signed.
