The visit of the representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office



Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Miroslav Jovanović has received a personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the Article IV of Annex 1B of the Dayton Peace Accord Major General Michael Tores with his assistants.

They talked about promoting the cooperation regarding the realization of the obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia as the parties in the agreement. A main goal of the meeting was briefing on the results of the 51st Meeting of Sub-Regional Consulting Commission held in Belgrade on 29th and 30th October, presided by the Republic of Serbia.

General Tores remarked that the Republic of Serbia is the leader in the region regarding the professionalism, organisation and mode of performing obligations in the field of arms control and that it has a properly developed and functional system to ensure that. He pointed out that the Ministry of

Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia perform all their obligations stemming from the agreement fully and qualitatively and highlighted the level of professionalism showed by the Verification Centre of the Department for International Military Cooperation in the implementation of the agreement.
