Plenary Session of the Joint Serbian-Angolan Committee



In the Annex Hall of the House of Guard in Topcider today, the plenary session of the Joint Serbian-Angolan Committee on Defence Cooperation has opened, chaired by the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic.

Today's meeting marks the beginning of the official visit of the delegation of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Angola, led by the State Secretary of that Ministry Salviano de Jesus Sequeira Kianda.

Addressing the gathering, State Secretary Djordjevic pointed out that this is the visit, which is very important for the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, stressing that the traditionally good relations between the two countries are good basis for the further development of cooperation, especially in the area of security.

Conveying satisfaction on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Angola on the occasion of the visit to our country, the State Secretary Kianda expressed his belief that the stay in Serbia will strengthen the ties between the countries. He also recalled the support that arrived from this region during the most difficult years for Angola.

The focus of today's plenary session is the analysis of the implementation of the agreement on cooperation between the governments of the two countries in the field of defence.
