Airmen visit pupils of Ivanjica area



Within the celebration of the "Children's Week", members of the 204th Aviation Brigade were guests of pupils and teachers of the primary school "Major Ilic" in Kusici, Ivanjica municipality. Members of the 204th Aviation Brigade landed by Gazelle helicopter in the village stadium on the Crkvina hill where they were greeted by school pupils from Maskova, Opaljenik, Podjavor, Deretina and Kusic as well as many locals.

The pupils of Ivanjica area, residents and teachers, saw the film about 204th Aviation Brigade, after which, in conversation, the children were interested in getting answers to many questions. Most of them were interested in how to become a pilot, how high can the plane fly, what is the wingspan, what kinds of aircraft may be, if girls can become soldiers.

In the historical day for this little place, there was also the pilot Lieutenant Ana Tadic, one of the first three girls in the modern history of the Serbian Air Force. On that occasion, the female lieutenant from the composition of 252nd School Training Aviation Squadron presented books to the best pupils from of the 4th and 8th grades.

Members of the 204th Aviation Brigade thus continued the tradition of participating in civil-military cooperation projects. So far, they have participated in numerous humanitarian actions, campaign of the "Smile as a gift" Foundation, marking the memory of the hero – pilot Colonel Milenko Pavlovic, providing aid to the population through campaign of a military doctor and a veterinarian in rural areas and other campaigns promoting in this way real values of life and the military career.
