Preparations of military athletes to participate in the 5th CISM Futsal Cup
Association of the Serbian Armed Forces practices in the premises of the Sports Centre of the Military High School to participate in the 5th CISM Futsal Cup, which will be held under the auspices of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), in Skopje, in the period from 29 September to 3 October.Head coach and also the head of the representation, Zvezdan Sljivar, is satisfied with the preparations so far and optimistic before going to the championship, although, according to him, the teams are going to compete in a weakened composition due to injuries of two key players. Šljivar points out that the representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces will do their best to represent the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the most quality way.
The CISM Futsal Cup has traditionally been organized since 2009 gathering the participants from the former Yugoslav republics. In the recent championships our team won second place in 2010 at the tournament in Vinkovci in Croatia and two third places, in 2009 in Belgrade and in 2011 in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
SAF team will be represented by head coach Zvezdan Sljivar, assistant coach Sasa Ozimic , and the players – captains Milenko Cimbaljevic and Miroslav Radovanovic, Lieutenant Marko Djordjevic, 2nd Lieutenant Milos Sumarac, 2nd Lieutenant Nebojsa Jocic, Master Sergeant Milos Radovanovic, professional soldiers Aleksandar Mihajlovic, Dalibor Stojanovic, Dragan Stankovic, Perica Vucicevic, Marjan Zdravkovic, Vladimir Stojanovic and Cadet Demir Hanic. Head of Delegation is Colonel Bosko Zoric, while his deputy will be Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Todorov .
