MOD delegation visit RACVIAC



During the bilateral visit to the Republic of Croatia, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, led by Assistant Minister for Defence Miroslav Jovanovic, visited the Centre for Security Cooperation - RACVIAC in Rakitje . On this occasion , a meeting was held with the management of the Centre , headed by Ambassador Branimir Mandic .

At the meeting , representatives of the MoD were acquainted with the basic facilities and activities carried out in the work of RACVIAC. Furthermore, they were presented with projects of international activities that are currently being implemented , as well as the activities to be implemented by the end of the year. Republic of Serbia, as a member of RACVIAC, will host and organize together with the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark, the international training program for search and rescue services, which will be completed in September this year. The delegation agreed on further international activities and further training of search and rescue services , as well as on programs and activities in the coming year .

One of the topics were modalities of planning and coordination of RACVIAC activities with the OSCE , the Regional Cooperation Council, as well as other regional cooperation initiatives in the field of defense.

The Republic of Serbia will take the chair over the presidency of the Multinational Advisory Group ( MAG ) in October this year. Future work of RACVIAC will be topics of discussion during the bilateral talks with the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia.

The representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Croatia , led by Minister Advisor Bosa Prodanovic gave full support to MoD’s delegation during its stay in Croatia.
