Great potential for promoting cooperation between Serbia and Croatia



First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today in Zagreb with the Minister of Defence of Croatia Ante Kotromanovic where both ministers discussed military cooperation between the two countries.

In the press release from the Cabinet of the First Deputy Prime Minister it is said that the topics discussed were military education, military economic and cooperation between Serbia and Croatia, including the possibility of joint participation in third markets, as well as joint participation in peacekeeping missions.

Vucic put forward a proposal that the military expert teams of Serbia and Croatia should meet as soon as possible in order to realize a more concrete cooperation on which occasion Vucic invited Kotromanovic to visit Serbia soon.

Kotromanovic stressed that this is a good opportunity for the development of relations between the two countries, a faster and better development than before.

Cooperation at the present moment is at a low level and this is a good opportunity to raise the level of cooperation to the one Croatia has with other countries of the former Yugoslavia, because there is a lot of potential, he said.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia is continuing his visit to Zagreb by meeting with Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, the statement reads..
