According to him, although the state is in poor economic conditions, they will try to invest more in military education and the Military Academy, but it will be the process of several years, with visible progress from year to year.

- You are the part of the society that still can say more than the rest of us, what you did for your country and what are you always ready to do for your country – Minister Vucic said to male and female cadets.

Speaking about the importance of military education, General Vuruna reminded of the most important moments in the history of the Military Academy, pointing out that Serbia is one of a few countries that have recognized early the importance of officer career development.

- The Military Academy is nowadays a dynamic institution that lives and works 365 days a year, with 15 accredited study programmes and four career development programmes from the field of humanities and technical and technological educational scientific field covering various categories of students for the needs of command and employment of the units of local defence industry, the management of the security and defence sector and defence system development – General Vuruna said adding that this house educates Military Grammar School students, cadets, future reserve officers, professional officers, senior civil servants, civilians, civilian students as well as members of the armed forces from many countries.

The ceremony was also an opportunity for the Rector of the University of Defence Lieutenant General Professor Miodrag Jevtic to present the awards to the most successful members of the Military Academy, and for General Vuruna to present diplomas to the members of the defence system who acquired academic titles of Master in the previous year, and gratitude letters to institutions that gave special contributions to the teaching process at the Military Academy.
