Signing Protocol on Cooperation with the University of Nis



Rector of the University of Defence Prof. Lt. Gen. Miodrag Jevtic, PhD, and Rector of the Nis University, Prof. Miroljub Grozdanovi? signed the Agreement of Cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the Rectorate of the University of Defence today.

The Protocol is concluded for a period of three years and includes cooperation in all areas of university education and academic practice, the possibility of establishing joint study programs, mobility of students, interchanging engagement of lecturers and participation in joint scientific research projects of general and regional importance.

According to General Jevtic, during preparations for the signing of the said protocol interests of a potential partnership were perceived which could significantly improve the quality and results of cooperation in the research activities in the Republic of Serbia and beyond. The protocol will enable fulfilment of the obligations of the Bologna process, especially when it comes to the mobility of professors and students, as well as cooperation on research projects and the development of scientific and teaching staff in higher education.

Professor Grozdanovi? stressed that the signing of the Protocol on cooperation between the two universities is an important step in development of cooperation at the level of the academic community of the Republic of Serbia. He said that it is necessary to agree on modalities of cooperation in the development and implementation of joint study programs at the level of master and doctoral studies, promote cooperation in the field of publishing activities for the needs of students, teaching and scientific work, and in the area of exchange of teaching staff.

Rector of the University of Defence, Prof. Lieutenant General Miodrag Jevtic, PhD, recognising the cooperation and support in their work so far, presented the Rector of the University of Nis Grozdanovi? plaque of the Defence University.
