Serbian military hospital in Central African Republic equipped with state of the art medical devices
New state of the art biochemistry and haematology analyzers have been installed and put into operation at the Serbian level 2+ military hospital in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces contingent, civilian employees Saša Todorović and Dane Vranješ have installed complex medical devices, under the expert supervision of medical laboratory technologist Jelena Kovačević and laboratory technicians Nataša Milosavljević and Aneta Živanović, who are trained to operate these innovative devices.
Medical laboratory technologist Jelena Kovačević points out that by putting these new medical devices into operation, the military hospital in Bangui has greatly increased its capabilities in terms of biochemical components analysis and processing and complete blood count. A biochemistry analyzer can perform 180 analyses per hour.The modernization of the military hospital is also improving the quality of healthcare and treatment services provided to members of the United Nations and members of the Serbian Armed Forces contingent in the MINUSCA mission in the Central African Republic.
