President Vučić: The new Covid hospital in Kruševac will be completed by 15 December

The President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and the Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar, visited tonight the new Covid hospital that is being built in the Military Complex "Rasina" in Kruševac and whose anticipated completion date is 15 December.
  - We are building another Covid hospital, in addition to the one in Batajnica, here in Kruševac, in the centre of the Rasina district, on the land owned by our armed forces, in the "Rasina" barracks, and it should be finished by 15 December. I would like to tell people in Serbia that we are facing countless problems, that it is not at all simple or easy to build something in such a short time. That people and the company that are building it are facing such demands for the first time, and when you set about doing something like this so quickly, you can't predict everything - said President Vučić and pointed out that next to the central hospital building in Kruševac, a separate facility will be constructed for angiography room.

President Vučić announces that the new Covid hospital in Batajnica will start admitting the first patients in three to four days at the latest. He also points out that the hospital has already been equipped with two scanners, two X-ray machines, two CT scanners, as well as a laboratory, so that all tests can be done in one place and a large number of people can be admitted.
The Covid hospital in Batajnica will be able to admit 800 patients while the Covid hospital in Kruševac will be able to admit 500 patients, 150 of whom in intensive care.

- I am grateful to the doctors in Kruševac who have fought bravely. Many of them were infected with Covid, and even today they are ready to help doctors, nurses and anyone who wants to fight, who does not shirk their responsibilities, who does not come up with reasons to be absent, who struggles to help people, to save their lives. That is the most important thing for us - President Vučić points out and explains that the reason for his arrival in Kruševac tonight is to show how much he cares about people's health and what the state is doing on that issue.

President Vučić also said that he was sorry that a third hospital had not been built in addition to the new Covid hospitals in Batajnica and Kruševac, for example in Zrenjanin or in the area between central Banat and the central part of Bačka, because thus the full effect of treating patients throughout Serbia would be felt.
    - We have signed a contract for the construction of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina. We carry on with the construction of the Clinical Centre of Serbia in Belgrade and a number of general hospitals throughout Serbia. I want people to know that we are going to bring 150 ventilators here and 250 new ventilators to Belgrade and we are going to equip literally all hospitals with the latest equipment so that our people can see what modern and better health care looks like, a health care that offers the best possible conditions, essentially free of charge, which few countries offer - the President emphasizes and states that the health insurance that citizens pay for throughout the year can actually cover only two days of hospital treatment.

In the end, President Vučić pointed out that the new hospital would still be there for the people of Kruševac for the treatment of other illnesses once the Covid pandemic was over and we defeated that vicious disease.

The new Covid hospital in Kruševac was also visited tonight by the Director of the Security and Information Agency, Bratislav Gašić, and the Mayor of Kruševac, Jasmina Palurović.
