Today as well the Serbian Armed Forces Are Repairing Damaged Roads and Water Supply Installations in Flooded Areas




Members of the Serbian Armed Forces are continuing their works on repairing damaged roads in the village of Vučak in Ivanjica municipality and in several villages in Prokuplje municipality. In Arilje, they are providing assistance in clearing deposits in flooded households.

Engineer units of the Serbian Armed Forces have started works in water intake Rzanje in Ivanjica municipality, which are necessary for the establishment of normal water supply for the population. They are also working on rehabilitation of a levee in the water intake in the base of the Jastrebac mountain which is where from Prokuplje is supplied with drinking water.

Until water supply is normalised, auto-cisterns of the Serbian Armed Forces with drinking water are to be deployed to Blace, Ivanjica and in the villages around Kruševac.

These days, members of the Serbian Armed Forces have also been engaged on reinforcing levees along the banks of the Ibar River, they installed a heavy mechanised bridge in the municipality of Mali Zvornik, they provided water supply for the citizens of Gornji Milanovac, and disinfected public areas and pumped water out of flooded production establishments in Trstenik.
 
This time as well, the Serbian Armed Forces were among the first to come to assist citizens afflicted by floods, and they remain ready to continue employing personnel and machines until the situation in the most affected municipalities is normalised.
