Certificates Conferred to Attenders of the Ninth Class of Advance Security and Defence Studies




 
Today, attenders of the ninth class of Advance Security and Defence Studies received badges and certificates of successfully completed advancement. The presentation of certificates, held in the barracks “General Jovan Mišković” in Belgrade was preceded by presentation of final thesis of the ADSD attenders.
 
Badges and certificates were presented to the attenders of the highest level of advancement within the system of military education by Rector of the University of Defence Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović PhD and Head of National Defence School Colonel Mićo Suvajac.
 
Greeting the present on behalf of Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović, General Radovanović emphasised that he “knows that the future of defence system of the Republic of Serbia and friendly countries rests in the right hands”.
 
- I give recognition to all of you for the efforts made. I am proud that we have fully carried out syllabus and curriculum and we can be proud today of all the attenders of the ninth class – the Rector of the University of Defence stated.
 
Head of ASDS Colonel Goran Župac pointed out that the attenders made a unique collective and they demonstrated and proved that “they possess human and professional qualities worthy of the highest level of advancement organised for the requirements of defence system of a country”.
 
Among this year’s attenders of the Advance Security and Defence Studies, four of them come from state bodies of the Republic of Serbia, four are from the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, two come from Bosnia and Herzegovina and one from the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria.
 
Today’s event was attended by Head of Military Academy Major General Bojan Zrnić.
 
The Advanced Security and Defence Studies represent an organisational unit of the National Defence School. The aim of the advancement, which lasts for 21 week, is to educate and prepare attenders to assume high duties within the system of national security.
