Participation in the International Armoured Vehicles Conference and Unmanned Ground Vehicles Conference



 
A delegation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, consisting of Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović and Chief of the Operations Department (J-3) of the General Staff, Major General Želimir Glišović, participated in the work of the 20th International Armoured Vehicle Conference and the Unmanned Ground Platform Conference in London. The event was attended by representatives of the land forces and defence industries of the countries interested in the latest trends in the development and use of armoured fighting vehicles.
 
Delegation members had the opportunity to review the latest developments in next-generation armoured fighting vehicles, especially in the areas of their fire-power, mobility and protection, and to attend a demonstration of Oshkosh fighting vehicle, 8x8 Boxer fighting vehicle manufactured by Rheinmetall and General Dynamics Ajax fighting vehicle.
 
The trends of the development of robotic vehicles as well as the plans for their integration into the armed formations of the land forces of the future were reviewed, as discussed by representatives of the most developed countries in this field.
 
Members of the delegation had bilateral meetings with representatives of the ministries of defence and the armed forces of the regional countries, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania, with which they exchanged experience of attending conferences, and discussed modalities for cooperation and joint production and development of arms and military equipment.
