The Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces at This Year’s Sports Fair
This year as well, the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces participate in International Sports Fair, which has been opened today in the Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair.
The eight Sports Fair under the slogan “The Sports Fair Connects All (the World)” was opened by Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić. He reminded all the present of the importance of this event, and the sports in the lives of individuals, society and state, and then he visited the stand of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
This day of the fair was marked by an attractive demonstration of martial arts of members of Special Purpose Military Police Battalion “Kobre” and the Special Brigade.The stand of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces attracted attention of great number of visitors who had an opportunity to learn more about the successes of military athletes at competitions in the country and abroad, and to be informed about the importance of physical training and sports in the Serbian Armed Forces.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Todorov from the University of Defence, at this year’s Sports Fair the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces will present military sports, and a part of the programme is dedicated to promotion of sports clubs at the Military Academy where the cadets will present themselves from sport clubs of volleyball, basketball and futsal.On the second day of the event, a lecture is going to be held on the stand of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces titled “Promotion of Sports in the Serbian Armed Forces” about the significance of sports in the armed forces.
The Eight International Sports Fair is going to last until Sunday, 24th November, and the entrance is free for all interested visitors.
