Visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces to Hungary




Delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, led by Acting Assistant Minister for Defense Policy, Milan Ranković, MSc, visited Budapest today to learn about the Hungarian model of increasing the interest of the population in the military vocation.

At a meeting chaired by Deputy State Secretary for Human Resources at the Hungarian Ministry of Defense, Lajos Erdelyi, the Serbian delegation was presented with Hungarian experiences in promoting the military vocation and military careers and increasing the interest of the population in joining the Hungarian Armed Forces.

At the meeting with the Deputy State Secretary for Defense Policy at the Hungarian Ministry of Defense, Gergely Németh, PhD, Acting Assistant Minister for Defense Policy, Milan Ranković, MSc, stated that the cooperation in defense of the two countries had reached a high level, with constant development of joint activities. Ranković thanked Hungary for its contribution to KFOR’s mission and to the protection of the Serbian population and Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo and Metohija. He also thanked Hungary for its donation to the NATO Trust Fund for the destruction of surplus ordnance and the enhancement of the capacity of the Technical Overhaul Facility “Kragujevac”.

Following the visit, the Serbian delegation visited the Hungarian Army Recruitment Center in Budapest.
