Demonstration of the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces “Sloboda 2019”

In line with the decision of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, to mark 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in World War II, a demonstration of the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces “Freedom 2019” (“Sloboda 2019”) will be held on 19 October 2019 at 12:30, at the airport “Pukovnik-pilot Milenko Pavlović” (“Colonel – pilot Milenko Pavlović”) in Batajnica.

The first part of the presentation will showcase the capabilities of part of the Special Forces and the Land Forces equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and equipment according to the “1500+” concept and assets donated by the Russian Federation, with the support of the Air Force and Air Defense units. This will be followed by the infantry, motorized units and aviation echelons defile.

Please send your accreditation to the email address info@mod.gov.rs no later than Thursday, 17 October at 12:00 hours.

You need to include the name, surname, duty in the newsroom and ID card for all members of the team along with the contact of the team leader.

Accreditations will be issued at the Ministry of Defense building (Birčaninova 5) on Friday, 18 October, between 11:00 and 13:00 hours.

For the media teams to report on the event, transportation will be organized from the Palace of Serbia to the airport in Batajnica and back. It is necessary for the media teams to arrive in front of the Eastern Wing of the Palace of Serbia no later than 9:30 am on 19 October for necessary checks and reviews. Due to security procedures, media crews using their own transportation will not be allowedto enter.

All media teams are kindly asked to observe the times stated in the announcement, as subsequent individual team arrivals will not be possible.

All private citizens may enter airport “Pukovnik-pilot Milenko Pavlović” from 9:30 at the gate from the road Batajnica-Nova Pazova.

Procedure for accreditation of foreign media teams

Foreign media teams must have permanent or temporary accreditations issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia before acquiring accreditation from the Ministry of Defense.

Having completed accreditation with the Ministry of Culture and Information, the following information should be sent to the e-mail address info@mod.gov.rs by Thursday,17 October by 12:00 hours– name, surname, duty in the newsroom and identification data, permanent or temporary accreditation number issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information and its term of validity for all team members, along with the contact phone number of the team leader.
