- Few nations have always been on the right side of history, the side of good. Few small nations have been written in  the world history with capital letters, because of their sacrifice. And because of their warfare, which was always defensive. That is why we wish this exhibition to remind of significant personalities, crucial battles, great losses and great victories – Captain Petrović said.

He emphasised that the Serbian soldiers, who had borne on their shoulders those crucial historical moments and who, during the years of the World War I, wrote the holiest and most sacred pages of the Serbian military history, should not be forgotten in the corridors of history.

- It should be borne in mind that the Kingdom of Serbia has made a full contribution to the war efforts of the Allies and it should not be surprising, confusing or sound exaggerated when the foreign witnesses of Serbian suffering who wrote that in Serbia almost every Serb is a soldier – Captain Petrović said, emphasising that with the exhibition 'Serbia in the Great War 1914-1918' at the Serbian Cultural Center in Paris, we recall the common history during which French and Serbian soldiers recognised themselves as 'brothers in arms' and 'brothers in ideals', and above all in their love for freedom.
