Meeting of Minister Vulin with Ambassador of Spain




 Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain Raúl Bartolomé Molina.
 
At the meeting, Minister Vulin extended gratitude for the principled position of the Kingdom of Spain regarding non-recognising unilateral proclamation of independence of so-called “Kosovo”, assessing that as an indicator of friendship towards the Republic of Serbia and consistency of official Madrid in terms of respect of sovereignty of other states. He added that the Republic of Serbia, also, strongly supports territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Spain.
 
The both sides agreed that mutual support to protection of sovereignty and respect of international law was important, and Ambassador Molina said that the good relations between Serbia and Spain, unburdened by open issues, represent a quality basis for development of overall bilateral cooperation, including defence cooperation, the crown of which is joint participation in multinational operation UNIFIL in Lebanon.
