Construction of apartments for members of the security system has begun in Novi Sad




The construction of 542 apartments for members of the security system has begun today in the Jugovićevosettlement in Novi Sad.

Representatives of the Republic and the Province laid the foundation stone for the housing construction – PrimeMinister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic, Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior NebojšaStefanović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure ZoranaMihajlović, Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Igor Mirović and the Mayor of Novi Sad, MilošVučević.

The event was also attended by members of the security services who applied for housing, including members of the Serbian Armed Forces.

According to Second Lieutenant Kristina Jovanović of 1stBrigade of the Land Forces, who is interested in buying an apartment, building apartments for members of the security system is one of the most convenient ways to address the housing issue, especially in an exceptional location where a school, kindergarten and sports center will be built and she thanked the state and military leadership for allowing members of the Serbian Armed Forces to resolve the housing issue in a much more favorable way.

One of the interested members of the Serbian Armed Forces is Major BojanTodorovićof 1stBrigade of the Land Forces.

- I've been serving in the Novi Sad garrison for 11 years. I believe that the project of building apartments for the members of the security system is a very good solution and that my colleagues and I will provide a roof over our heads and home for our families after many years of tenancy, said Major Todorović.
The construction of apartments in Novi Sad is part of a project of national importance. Within the first phase of the project, in additionto Novi Sad, the apartments will be constructed in Vranje, Niš, Kragujevac, Kraljevo and Sremska Mitrovica.
