Minister Vulin: Serbian Armed Forces more powerful and equipped

- The donation is very important because the Serbian Armed Forces is gaining another capability, and because our reconnaissance units are getting a modern vehicle that is in line with the highest world standards, defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said in the Dnevnik 1 broadcast of Radio Television of Serbia, on the occasion of receiving the donation of the Russian armoured vehicles to the Republic of Serbia.

Speaking about the characteristics of the new BRDM 2MS armoured reconnaissance vehicles, the minister of defence said that it is also very important that you get a vehicle that can protect your people and that you are then able to say that your army is “far more powerful, equipped and that units will be able to perform their tasks in a safer manner”.

According to minister Vulin, decades ago, neither new assets nor top-class assets for the Serbian Armed Forces were provided.

- We will get brand new helicopters of the highest quality in the world in their class. I expect that four Mi-35 helicopters and three Mi-17s will be delivered by the end of the year, or by the beginning of next year at the latest. There will be more assets in line with the military-technical agreement and I can say with a feeling of great gratitude and pride that the agreement between our supreme commander Aleksandar Vučić and supreme commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation President Putin is being fully implemented and it is implemented in accordance with deadlines and without any problems between our two countries, the minister of defence stressed.
