Pilots are well, they are coming home soon




Health condition of the two pilots from the 98th Aviation Brigade of AF&AD, who are recovering from minor injuries suffered after the failure of Gazelle HO-42 helicopter during the regular flight exercise practicing 'off-airport landing' in the area of Rutevac village in Aleksinac municipality, is good and they will be released for home treatment in a few days. Today they were visited by defence minister Aleksandar Vulin.
 
According to the head of the Surgical Department of the Niš Military Hospital, Colonel Nebojša Đenić MD PhD, condition of patients who have suffered minor bodily injuries of contusion type is stable.
 
Colonel Đenić pointed out that everything was done that implies a trauma protocol, from a clinical examination to all ultrasound methods, scanner and laboratory analysis methods, and that it was found that there were no signs of internal injuries. He expects that patients will be released for home treatment in a few days.
 
During the visit to the pilots, Minister Vulin was accompanied by AF&AD Chief of Staff Brigadier General Aleksandar Bjelić and Deputy Assistant Manager for Treatment at the Niš Military Hospital, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Krstić, MD.
