Minister Vulin: Serbian Armed Forces always go for victory

- Serbian Armed Forces always go for victory. At the “Military Rally” we will compete with the largest and most numerous Armed Forces in the world, but that does not mean that the Serbian Armed Forces will not go for a victory. We will aim at achieving a good result and more importantly, we are going to show how well we are trained, how ready we are; to show what we have and which is most important, what kind of men we have at our disposal – said Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin after today’s visit to the Serbian Armed Forces team at the Deliblatske peščare region where the team is preparing to take participation in the “Military Rally” discipline at 6th International Military Games at the Russian Federation.
Minister Vulin says that “if there is respect among the Armed Forces, then the respect expressed with relation to the Serbian Armed Forces includes respect for its people, experience, courage and, above all, love for the homeland.”

- These people are going to compete for our flag, for our country, and I am convinced they will return with a great result. After all, the Serbian Armed Forces is a victorious Armed Force – said Minister Vulin.

At the International Military Games, members of the Serbian Armed Forces will participate in three disciplines: “Tank Biathlon”, “Military Rally” and “Sniper Border”. The competition in the first two disciplines is taking place at the Russian Federation, and the third at the Republic of Belarus.

The “Military Rally” is held between 27 July and 11 August, in the far East of the Russian Federation, in the Republic of Tuva, and members of the Serbian Armed Forces are competing in this discipline for the first time.
According to Colonel Dragiša Zinaja from the Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, the Serbian Armed Forces team consists of drivers from all units of the Armed Forces, selected on the basis of excellent results achieved at the competitions of military drivers in Kraljevo.

- Part of the preparations we present today is the second part. The first part took place in Kraljevo, mostly on the mountainous terrain, while here it is mostly flatland. In that way, we attempted to provide the drivers with all the conditions that they could face in the competition in Russia – Colonel Zinaja emphasized, also mentioning that in September this year, at the garrison of Kraljevo, the second International Military Drivers Competition would be held, for which three Russian teams have already confirmed their participation.

Lance Corporal Miloš Četrović, a member of the Training Battalion of the Traffic Service from Kraljevo and a member of the competition team of the Serbian Armed Forces, outlines a good team spirit, which he hopes will win them one of the medals.

- We prepared in all weather conditions, in sandy and stone terrain and in the rain. We are extremely satisfied with the preparations and proud to point out the personnel who have been selected to represent the Serbian Armed Forces – said Lance Corporal Četrović.
The Serbian military drivers will take participation in four races: individual, map-reading race, combat readiness test race and a team race. The races are performed in different field conditions, at distances between 150 and 250 kilometers.

For the “Military Rally” competition, Russian military vehicles 4x4 TIGAR and military non-combat vehicles of 4x4 and 6x6 category KAMAZ or URAL will be used.

The final preparations for the drivers were also attended by the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Major General Petar Cvetković, and the Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Siniša Kresović.
