Course for training civilians for peacekeeping missions completed




A two-week course for training civilians for participation in peacekeeping missions for twenty-one trainees from the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia, was successfully completed at the Training Center for the Multinational Operations of the Land Forces.

The ceremonial awarding of certificates was organized at the Military Club in Vranje and attended by the Director of the Directorate for European Integration and Project Management of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Katarina Štrbac, PhD, the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Cucić and the Commander of the Training Center for the Multinational Operations of the Land Forces, Lieutenant Colonel BranislavStevanović.

In the first part of the course, participants gained theoretical knowledge in the field of crisis management, cultural differences, gender equality, conflict analysis and the role of international organizations in crisis management. Practical training in field-driven vehicles was carried out at the Logistics Training Center in Kraljevo.

In the second part, under expert supervision of training instructors from the Training Center for the Multinational Operations of the Land Forces, they faced complex situations that could be encountered in a hostile environment in Peacekeeping Missions around the world.

The course was planned and implemented in the organization of the Department of Defense Policy of the Ministry of Defense and the Land Forces.
