Congratulations by Minister of Defense on the occasion of Air Surveillance and Reporting Service Day
I congratulate all members of the Air Surveillance and Reporting Service their Day – 18 June.
That day more than a century ago, the Serbian Supreme Command issued the Order to set up a permanent observation signaling station to indicate the direction of flight of the enemy aircraft. Based on this, in the then Third Army there were several stations in the areas of the Drinska, Timočka and the Combined Divisions.
In your daily professional task completion, you prove to be worthy to continue the tradition by giving a full contribution to the operation of the Air Surveillance and Reporting System and raising the level of operational capability of the Air Force and Air Defense units and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
I congratulate you on your holiday, convinced that with the acquisition of the radar and computer equipment and vehicles, we will be able to modernize our Air Surveillance and Reporting System, and thus increase the surveillance and control of our airspace, in which I truly wish you to succeed.
