The first flapperboard of the new season of “Military Academy” series at the airport “Batajnica”
Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin and RTS Director General, Dragan Bujošević were present today at the Batajnica airport for shooting of the first scenes of the fifth season of the Military Academy series.
It is about the “first flapperboard” of the featured series that has been successfully implemented for eight successive years in cooperation between the Radio Television of Serbia and the Ministry of Defense.
Following a visit to the set and interview with the actors and the team shooting the series, Minister Vulin emphasized that the Serbian Armed Forces, as one of the most beloved and most respected institutions in our nation, is a part of our everyday life.
- This is a great opportunity to show the life of the Serbian Armed Forces, to introduce ourselves to the youngest generation and to all those who are interested in our life and our work. The Serbian Armed Forces is an institution that preserves those traditional, fundamental values that have rendered our nation grand and precious. I believe that when they watch the “Military Academy” and spend time with their families, in front of the TV screens and with us, the viewers of RTS feel proud to have an armed force that the Serbian Armed Forces are – emphasized Minister Vulin.He pointed out that this is exactly what is important, adding that he is certain that the young children who watch the series are growing up assuming new values, because they do want to be good, brave and honorable people, just like the characters in this series.
- The characters in the series are not just fictional characters from the script, rather people who actually exist in the Serbian Armed Forces, and all these people that you have the opportunity to see exist in the Serbian Armed Forces and they are a role model for some future generations and I believe they are passing on the right message – said Minister Vulin.
Among those who visited the shooting of the first scenes of the new season of the series were the Rector of the University of Defense, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, Commandant of the Military Academy, Major General Bojan Zrnić, and the Commandant of the Air Force and Air Defense, Major General, Duško Žarković.
Ivan Mihailović, who plays the officer Mirko Klisura, the role of a well-known and favorite pilot among the viewers of the series, is one of the actors who recorded the first scenes of the new episodes at the Batajnica airport.- Both privately and emotionally I am attached to the Batajnica airport, and I came to view the military air shows even before I thought I would be an actor. I love the aviation and all this is very close and familiar to me – emphasized Mihailović expressing satisfaction for having had the opportunity to participate in numerous projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces.
A character that the viewers will have the opportunity to meet and get to love in the new fifth season, the ambitious third-year female cadet Nevena Reljić, will be interpreted by a young actress Jovana Milovanović.
- I was completely dumbfounded by how the “Batajnica” airport actually looks and how pleasant all the people who are here every day are, the people whose job or future occupation this is. We received a warm welcome and they are here to explain everything to us – said Milovanović.
