Participation of cadets of the Military Academy in the ‘Days of Belgrade 2019’ event
Cadets of the Military Academy have participated today in the ceremonial march past in Knez Mihailova Street and attended the ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial on Kalemegdan, within the ‘Days of Belgrade 2019’ event.
This event, the seventeenth in a row, is traditionally held in April in memory of two important dates for the capital – 16th April, when the name of Belgrade was first mentioned in a letter of Pope John VIII in 878 and 19th April, when Prince Mihailo Obrenović received the keys of the city from Ali Riza Pasha, in 1867.The ‘Days of Belgrade 2019’ event gathers numerous creators and artists including a range of cultural and artistic contents. One of the events will be the tomorrow's concert of the members of Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, on Kalemegdan - at the plateau near the Belgrade's statue of the Victor starting at 19:00 hours.
