The doors of military schools once again open this Saturday

For the third consecutive Saturday the doors of military schools are open to all candidates interested in enrolling in these educational institutions. The “Open Doors” initiative will be held every Saturday until 30 March.
According to the teacher of the Department of Social Sciences of the Military Academy, Major Doc. Srđan Starčević PhD, the Military Academy opened its doors this Saturday for all young boys and girls interested to enroll in military schools.

- The Military Academy has opened its doors with the intention of giving them a chance to see a part of what the Academy offers to its cadets. The boys and girls have seen the rooms in the cadet board, the weapons and motorcycles and motor vehicles departments, as well as the sports center today. I am very pleased with the interest of these young people for the military vocation and I am glad that they liked the Military Academy - said Major Starčević.

One of the girls interested in enrolling at the Military Academy is Verica Kovačević from Arilje.

- I came to see how they live and what their education looks like. Frankly, I am delighted. They have nice classrooms, well equipped sports facilities - gym, swimming pool, terrains and courts. I would like to tell everyone to try to enroll at the Military Academy, because it provides an opportunity for a good life and work, as well as a guaranteed job,” said Verica, adding that the reason for her decision to take up the military calling was family tradition and her love for the uniform.
Đorđe Matić from Belgrade is also one of today’s visitors of the “Open Doors” initiative, but also a candidate for enrollment in this educational institution.

- My great desire is to enroll at the Military Academy, because I want to serve my nation, to protect my people and educate myself at one of the best faculties in Serbia. Everything that I saw here today has left a strong impression on me and makes me even more satisfied that I have chosen the military profession – said Đorđe.

Great interest for education at military schools is happening for a reason, because the situation in the Serbian Armed Forces is improving. The quality of life and working conditions in the Armed Forces has improved, and with it those of the military schools, the salaries of employees and scholarships and pays of students and cadets were increased. Education is free, and pupils and cadets are provided with accommodation and food and their future job is guaranteed, with the possibility of continuous professional and career development.

The future cadets can see where they will study and live if they come to the Military Academy at number 33 Generala Pavla Jurišića Šturma Street on Saturday, between 10 am to 1 pm. During the visit, they will have an opportunity to learn about the conditions of life and work at the Military Academy, visits the cadet board, classrooms and sports facilities.
The Military Academy will enroll 183 cadets this year, and the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy 25. There will be 65 boys and girls enrolled in the Military Vocational School, and in the Military High School will enroll 90 students of both sexes.

The competition for admission of students to the Military High School is open until 15 March 2019, and the competition for the Military Vocational School, Military Academy and Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy until 31 March.
