Minister Vulin: The situation in the Ground Safety Zone is peaceful and under control of the Serbian Armed Forces





Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović visited today the members of the 37th mechanised battalion of the Third Army Brigade in the barracks “Toplički Ustanak” in Kuršumlija, and after that they visited the members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the base “Veliki trn” in the Ground Safety Zone.
 
After the tour, Minister Vulin pointed out that the situation was peaceful in the Ground Safety Zone and fully controlled by our armed forces.
 
-All our units execute their tasks, and they are ready to carry out every order and to protect our way of life, and the peace and security of every citizen of the Republic of Serbia - Minister Vulin underlined.
 
Commander of the 37th mechanised battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Grujica Vuković underscored that the members of the battalion stationed in the “Veliki Trn” base secured the administrative line in the zone of the responsibilities of the base.

- The primary task of the members of the battalion and the very base “Veliki Trn” is the prevention of illegal crossings of the administrative line. The personnel that comes to the base is competent, trained and motivated. All the members of the battalion, particularly the composition of the base we are currently in, are equipped and ready to execute all the tasks assigned by superior command - Lieutenant Colonel Vuković stressed.
 
In the barracks “Toplički Ustanak”, Minister Vulin and General Mojsilović observed a demonstration of training of the 37th mechanised battalion, after which they toured a memorial dedicated to the members of the military who had died in NATO Aggression and they also toured the area dedicated to religious services.
 
In the base “Veliki Trn”, the minister of defence and Chief of General Staff attended a demonstration of the work of the security bodies, and today’s visit provided an opportunity for the conversation with the soldiers in the base. Today’s tour was also attended by Commander of the Third Army Brigade Colonel Slađan Stamenković.
