Lecture for the Attenders of a Seminar at the Academy of Diplomacy




Head of Division for multilateral cooperation of Department for International Military Cooperation Lieutenant Colonel Miroslav Glišić PhD, held today a lecture titled “Defence policy of the Republic of Serbia” to the attenders of a seminar of the Academy of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The lecture, which was held in the Sector for Material Resources, was attended by the students of International seminar for young diplomats “Foreign policy priorities and cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia” from the countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America and Caribbean which did not recognise the so called independent state of “Kosovo”.

The young diplomats of the friendly countries and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia had an opportunity to hear a lecture on Serbian defence policy, with a focus on defence interests of our country, primarily founded on military neutrality, preservation of peace and security in the region and the world.
The seminar attender were also familiarised with strategic documents of defence and national security, challenges, risks and threats to security at global, regional and national level.

The cooperation and partnerships of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces with other countries and organisations were also presented, and the participation of the members of Serbian Armed Forces in UN and EU missions and multinational operations in Lebanon, South African Republic, Congo, Mali and Somalia.

The seminar “Foreign policy priorities and cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia” is being held from 5th to 9th November and it is organised by the Academy of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgrade.
