Concert of Film Music to Observe the Eight of March




 
To mark the Women’s Day, the Belgrade Brass-Band, in collaboration with the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” held this evening a Concert of Film Music in the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club in Belgrade.
 
The programme included unforgettable melodies from films, among which there was the tune from the Pink Panther and music from James Bond films, and the celebrated compositions of EnnioMorricone, Schneider, Mendelssohn, Bernstein and other.
 
The guests of the orchestra, conducted by Maestro Vladimir Mustajbašićand Major Aleksandar Đurov, were the members of chamber trio of the Faculty of Music Art from Belgrade, clarinet players Vukašin Stefanović and Aleksa Stojadinović and pianist Miloš Spasić.
 
This concert, a unique the Eight March gift, was attended by numerous members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
 
The Belgrade Brass-Band, with which theArtistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” has been cooperating for many years now, was established in 1995 with the aim to contribute to the restoration of the tradition of promenade concerts in concert halls and in the open. The ensemble encourages and advances the creation and performing arts for brass instruments and orchestras.
 
The members are renowned musicians from symphonic orchestras of the Radio Television of Serbia, Belgrade Opera, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički”, Terazije Theatre, Representative Guard Orchestra and professors and students of schools of music and the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade.
