Congratulatory Message of the Minister of Defence on the Occasion of the Day of the Music Service




 
I congratulate 10th January – Day of Service to all the members of the Music Service.
 
This is the fourth time, in the recent history of our armed forces, that we celebrate the Day of the Music Service as one of the military holidays established in the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces. The holiday was established in memory of this day in 1845 when the Military Law of the time defined that the military music consisted of 50 persons including bandmaster, leader, drummer and 47 musicians.
 
Today, cherishing the traditions of their predecessors, the members of the Music Service play a significant role in presenting and enhancing the reputation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces both in our country and abroad.
 
I congratulate this holiday to you desiring that you continue successfully carrying out the assigned tasks in the future and worthily presenting the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
