Session of the Joint Military Committee Held in Cairo
Eleventh session of the Joint Military Committee for defence cooperation was held in Cairo from 3rd to 4th December 2017.
Delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia was led by Major General Bojan Zrnić PhD, Head of Department for Defence Technologies and Co-chair of the Serbian part of the Joint Military Committee, while the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Arab Republic of Egypt was led by Major General Ma’aty Ahmed Eraky from the Operation Affairs Sector of the MoD of AR Egypt who is also the Co-chair of the Egyptian part of the Joint Military Committee.
At the session, the realisation of the joint activities in 2017 was analysed and the Programme for the activities of bilateral military cooperation in the year 2018 was harmonised. The parties informed each other about politico-security situation in the area of Western Balkans, Middle East and North Africa.
The delegations expressed satisfaction with the cooperation exercised so far and they pronounced mutual intention to continue and intensify the military economic, military-to-military and military medical cooperation.
