Letter of condolences to people of Mexico
On the occasion of the tragic loss of life of a large number of US citizens of the United Mexican States in the earthquake that hit that country, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin sent a letter of deepest condolence to the Secretary of the National Defence of Mexico General Salvador Sienfuegos Zepedi on behalf of members of the Ministry of Defence and on his personal part.
- All members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces sincerely stand together with you in sharing your pain on the occasion of the loss of lives of your citizens and with the deepest sympathy they express hope that there will be no additional casualties as a result of the catastrophic earthquake, Minister Vulin wrote and expressed his confidence that the Armed Forces of the United Mexican States will give their full contribution to rescue missions and subsequent reconstruction in the entire earthquake-affected area.
"Although such crisis situations cannot be foreseen, the excellent training of soldiers and their dedicated engagement aimed at providing assistance to their people make the suffering of the population at least a little bit alleviated," Vulin stressed, adding that "our thoughts remain with you and your soldiers at this difficult moment for the people and armed forces of the United Mexican States. "
