Open day at Niš Military Airport

Members of the 98th Aviation Brigade organized the Open Day at Niš Military Airport.  More than 6,000 citizens followed the flying programme performed by the pilots on helicopters "gazelle" type "hera" and "gamma" NJ-22 "eagle" and Mi-8 helicopter.

Search and rescue exercises for an injured pilot performed by the search and rescue team, parachute descents performed by members of the 63rd Parachutist Battalion, as well as various simulations of air strikes on the targets on the ground with their own protection were also demonstrated at the military airport.

Colonel Dejan Vasiljević pointed out that citizens could see part of the weapons, but also part of the combat capability of the Serbian Armed Forces, and noted that besides the hosts, the 98th Aviation Brigade, members of the 204th Aviation Brigade, the 250th Missile Brigade and the Special Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces participated in the organisation.

Children who had the opportunity to sit in the aircraft were the ones who were most happy with the tactical-technical static display of the aircraft and part of the weaponry, but the enthusiasm was no less in adults.
