Belgrade has always been a Good Host

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin attended today the opening of a circular car race “The Prize of Belgrade 2017” at Belgrade Ušće and said that our city had the reason to be quite satisfied with the races held in the capital.

- Year after year we have ever growing number of competitors from the entire region, which supports the fact that each year we are becoming better host, and that Belgrade has presented itself in the best possible light and that it has presented the most precious and the best that we can offer to the entire world and that is our organisational skill, our people and our Belgrade. I wish that everything was safe, that we were safe, I wish that the children, who watch this and enjoy the speed, understood that they need and have to do it in controlled conditions, to direct their energy and courage to sports instead of playing on the streets. This is the way to show them how good a host Belgrade is, but at the same time how much we are all responsible and how much the motorsport will contribute to the government and development of our country – Minister Vulin stated.

At today’s sporting event, apart from Minister Vulin, the present were addressed by the City Manager Goran Vesić, President of Car and Motor Association of Serbia Mirko Butulija and the ace of this sport Dušan Borković.

Some 90 competitiors from the country and several regional countries participate in the race and they are divided in five divisions, and on the 2,325 metres long racing track, each race will be driven in 22 circles with maximum 22 vehicles participating in each race. The event is organised by Car and Motor Association of Serbia (AMSS), Sport Car and Carting Association of Serbia, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Sport Association of Serbia and AMS Insurance with the patronage of the City of Belgrade.
