Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federaton



Today, in the Ministry of Defence, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Chepurin with whom he discussed the current international military cooperation of the two countries.

Minister Vulin conveyed his impressions to the Russian Ambassador about the recently concluded visit to Moscow, where, upon the invitation from his Russian colleague, he attended the final phase and official closing of this year’s “International Military Games”. Minister Vulin thanked Ambassador Chepurin for the principled position of the Russian Federation in the matter of Kosovo and Metohija and asked that the Russian Federation do everything in its power, like it has done so far, to prevent the joining of Kosovo and Metohija to the Interpol.

Minister Vulin told the ambassador that he had extended the invitation to President Vladimir Putin on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and to his colleague Minister Shoygu to attend the marking of 100th anniversary of the breach of the Thessaloniki Front in the following year.
