Donation to the MA female futsal team




 
On the occasion of donation of the Mozzart Company to the female futsal team of the Military Academy, the team, which was established in 2014 and participated in numerous military and civil sports competitions of different level, was presented to journalists today by exhibition match in the Military Academy Sports Centre. Although being the young team, mostly consisting of female cadets, and professional officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, it can boast of many medals, mainly the brightest ones. The girls from the Military Academy have taken part in the competition “Let’s play for 16” four times and have taken the first place twice, and the second and third place once with regular awards for the best player, scorer and goal keeper.
 
The female cadet futsal team has initiated the 8th March Futsal Tournament, which is held at the Military Academy with more and more participants. This year the Military Academy futsal team played for the first time several international matches with colleagues from the United Kingdom and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the following period, inter alia, they are going to participate in the international tournament on Kosutnjak at the end of May. In September the female futsal team of the Miliatry Academy, trained by Ranka Tomic since the establishment, will visit the Great Britain whereas the friendly match with the team of the Bulgarian Armed Forces will be played on the Serbian-Bulgarian border.
 
Thanking the Mozzart Company for the donated sports shirts and sweat suits for the female futsal team, Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Todorov, PhD, the Head of the Section for military sports at the Military Academy, emphasized that sport encompasses a great part of educational process and upbringing of male and female cadets. “It is especially significant in developing a competitive spirit, which is manifested through the work of sports sections”, Lieutenant Colonel Todorov stressed presenting a representative of the Mozzart Company with thank-you note and the small plaque of the Military Academy for many years of successful cooperation.
