Analysis of function of NCO support to command
The meeting was held today in the Military Club in Pancevo in order to present analysis and define tasks for the enhancement of NCO career development and functioning of the NCO support to command.
The meeting in Pancevo was attended by the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, chiefs of General Staff Departments, representatives of the Department for Organization of the Defence Policy Sector and the National Defence School, commanders and first NCOs at operational level, units of brigade and battalion level and command NCOs of the Serbian Armed Forces and General Staff.
During the meeting the analysis of the implementation of training concepts so far, situation and challenges related to harmonization of training level during the professional development of NCOs and the enhancement of instructor training model has been conducted.
The commanders of the Serbian Armed Forces units had an opportunity to express their assessments of the work of first and command NCOs and to give proposals for the improvement of NCO corps function.
Concluding the meeting, the Chief of General Staff emphasized that the existing capacities were in function and that first and command NCOs are assigned the role in building operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
“Their role needs constant analysis and improvement in direct coordination with the line of command”, General Dikovic said.
In the second part of the activity, the participants of the meeting were informed about the manner of conducting phases of basic and advanced training of NCOs in the NCO Training Centre of the Training Command in “Stevica Jovanovic” barracks in Pancevo.
