Marking the anniversary of the Centre for Logistics Training




On the occasion of the decade of foundation of the Centre for Logistics Training, today in the hall of the theatre in Krusevac, a ceremony was held, which was attended by the Advisor to the President of the Republic Milorad Simic, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nenad Neric, the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic with associates, representatives of the local authorities and organizational units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
On that occasion Advisor Simic presented the Commander of the Centre Colonel Dragan Ljubic with the Silver Medal for Merits, which the President of the Republic Tomislav Nikolic gave as an award to this unit.

Congratulating the members of the Centre for Logistics Training, Advisor Simic stressed that the Medal of the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces is surely the result of diligent work of the members of this Centre for many years.

“The trust and respect that our Armed Forces have as an institution, which the citizens have the greatest confidence in, talks about the expressed motivation and commitment to the Armed Forces and defence system, and the country, as well”, Advisor Simic assessed stressing that the members of the Centre are expected to continue with the successful performance of tasks.

According to him, the state has already undertaken measures to improve operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and in accordance with its possibilities it will provide support to the enhancement of the material status of its members.

“I am convinced that the decoration, which has been presented today, will represent an incentive for even better work, and for the other members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces an example that should be followed”, Advisor Simic concluded.

Expressing gratitude for the given decoration, Colonel Ljubic conveyed a message that the members of this Centre will continue to develop functional capabilities by their professional work to the Serbian Armed Forces benefit.

The Centre for Logistics Training was established on this day, on 17th January 2007 by the decree of the Defence Minister. Its mission is training of personnel of logistics specialities (technical, quartermaster, transport, medical and veterinary services) for the needs of the defence system. It is based in three locations. The Headquarters, Commanding Company and Technical and Quartermaster Service Training Company are located in the barracks “Car Lazar” in Krusevac. The Medical and Veterinary Service Training Company and the Company for training of dog handlers, breeding and training of dogs are located in Nis. The Transport Service Training Battalion is located in the barracks “Ribnica” in Kraljevo.
