Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff with Serbian Armed Forces members in Ground Safety Zone



Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic and the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic welcomed 2017 with the members of the Serbian Armed Forces deployed in the Ground Safety Zone.

Minister Djordjevic spent New Year’s Eve in the Golema cuka base. On that occasion the Army Deputy Commander Major General Zelimir Glisovic informed him about the situation and activities in the base. After a short visit Minister talked with the Forces Commander in the Ground Safety Zone Colonel Sladjan Stamenkovic and the base commander Major Predrag Radunovic.

During the talk with the Army members, Minister informed them of the new issues related to the defence system, which will mark the forthcoming year, with a special emphasis on the changes connected to the NCO corps, status of professional soldiers and status issues.

Wishing a happy New Year in the first minutes of 2017, Minister Djordjevic wished the gathered members success, happiness and health next year.

With the same New Year wishes, General Glisovic also expressed gratitude to the Defence Minister on behalf of all Serbian Armed Forces members engaged in the base in the Ground Safety Zone, who celebrate New Year holidays far from their families.

The Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff spent New Year’s Eve with the Army members in the East Mojstir base in the Ground Safety Zone. General Dikovic wished all Serbian Armed Forces members in the base success and health in 2017.
