New appointments at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces



Pursuant to Article 112(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and Article 17, item 9 of the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić has made decrees on appointments to new duties, acting positions and termination of professional military service.
 
Appointments to a new position:
 
Major General Milan Mojsilović is to be appointed Head of Strategic Planning Department, Defence Policy Sector.
He completed General Staff Officers' Course in 2006. Since 2007, he served as Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command, and from 2011 he was appointed Commander of the Army. Since January 2013 he has held the post of Military Representative in the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to NATO. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2009 and to the rank of Major General in 2011.
 
Brigadier General Mile Jelić is to be appointed Chief of Personnel Department, Human Resources Sector, the Ministry of Defence.
After carrying out a series of high command duties up to the level of brigade, he was a teacher at the Military Academy and Head of the Department for Operational Research at the Military Academy, and since 2010, Head of the School of National Defence. Since December 2014, he served as commander of the 3rd Army Brigade. He completed General Staff Officers' Course in 2003. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2014.
 
Brigadier General Predrag Bandić is to be appointed Military Representative in the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to NATO.
He completed General Staff Officers' Course in 2009. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2012. He has held high command posts in AF&AD Command of the Serbian Armed Forces, and from 2011 he served as Commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade.
 
Brigadier General Duško Žarković is to be appointed Chief of Operations Department, SAF GS.
Since January 2015, he has served as Deputy AF&AD Commander, and previously he was Commander of the 250th AD Missile Brigade, Chief of Staff at the AF&AD Command and Assistant AF&AD Commander for Operations. He completed General Staff Officers' Course in 2006. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2012.
 
Brigadier General Sava Milenković is to be appointed Deputy AF&AD Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces.
After completion of the General Staff Officers' Course in 2010, he served as chief of staff, deputy commander and assistant commander for operations at the 250th AD Missile Brigade. He has served as Commander of the 250th AD Missile Brigade since 2015. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in April 2015.
 
Colonel Vladeta Baltić is to be appointed Chief of Staff of the Army Command.
He completed General Staff Officers' Course in 2010. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2002. As of 2013 he was appointed Assistant Army Commander for Support. Previously, he was Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade.
 
Colonel Željko Kuzmanović is to be appointed Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2013. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2007. He has served as Acting Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade since December 2015, and before that he served as Deputy Commander of the brigade, and held other high positions at the Planning and Development Department, SAF GS.
 
Colonel Predrag Grbić is to be appointed Commander of the 3rd Army Brigade.
He has served as Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Brigade since 2011. Before that, he served as Chief of Staff and held other senior duties in units of the Army. He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2010. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2004.
 
Colonel Slobodan Stopa is to be appointed Commander of the 4th Army Brigade.
He has served as Assistant Army Commander Operations since 2012. Previously, he was Chief of Staff of the 2nd Army Brigade, as well as on other senior positions in the units of the Army. He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2009. He has also been in the rank of colonel since 2009.
 
Colonel Savo Iriškić is to be appointed Head of Human Resources Department, SAF GS.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2013. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2015. He has held senior positions in the Human Resources Department, SAF GS, and since 2014, he has served as Chief of the Section for Status, Human Resources Department, SAF GS.
 
Colonel Željko Bilić is to be appointed Commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2011. He has been in the rank of colonel since 2011. He has served as Deputy Commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade since 2014, and before that he served as Assistant AF&AD Commander for Operations and held other senior positions in the commands and units of the AF&AD of the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
Colonel Aleksandar Bjelić is to be appointed Chief of Staff of AF&AD Command.
He has served as Commander of the 98th Aviation Brigade since 2012. Before that, he served as deputy commander of the brigade and other teaching duties at the Air Force Department of the Military Academy. He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2009. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2009.
 
Colonel Milan Popović is to be appointed Acting Commander of the 250th AD Missile Brigade.
He completed Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2013. He has been in the rank of colonel since 2010. He has 2015 served as Assistant AF&AD Commander for Operations since 2015, and previously held senior positions at the Planning and Development Department, SAF GS.
 
Termination of professional military service:
 
Major General Vojin Č. Jondić, former Chief of Operations Department, SAF GS.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2002. He has held various responsible duties in the Army, including the duty of the Chief of Staff of the Army Command and Deputy Army Commander. He has been in the rank of Major General since 2013.
 
Brigadier General Stojan Konjikovac, former Chief of Human Resources Department, SAF GS.
He served as chief of that department from 2015. Previously, he held very responsible positions in the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces. He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2002. He has been in the rank of Brigadier General since 2015.
 
Brigadier General Marinko Pavlović, former Chief of the Training and Doctrine Department, SAF GS.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2004. He has been in the rank of Brigadier General since 2013. He served as Assistant Commander for Operations in the Training Command and Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade.
 
Brigadier General Zoran Lubura, former Commander of the 4th Army Brigade.
He served as Commander of the 4th Army Brigade from 2013. He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 2008. He was in the rank of Brigadier General from 2013. He held responsible positions in the Army, among other things, Chief of Staff of the Army Command and Deputy Commander of the 4th Army Brigade.
 
Brigadier General Slobodan Joksimović, former Chief of the Strategic Planning Department, Defence Policy Sector, MoD.
He completed the General Staff Officers' Course in 1996 and College of International Security Affairs at the National Defence University in Washington, DC, USA, in 2008. He performed responsible duties at the Military Intelligence Agency, he was a teacher at the School of National Defence and the Military Academy, as well as Chief of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies.
